After doing some research on a few of the major players in the online travel search game.  I think it really is a game to a lot of them.  Airfare.com, Cheapoair.com, Hotwire.com, Expedia.com, Priceline.com, etc the list goes on and on.  In fact the list is so long that at any one time there are probably more websites providing travel search than actually people looking to book tickets.

Anyway, I decided to search most of these sites to see which one really did have the best deal on travel.  Surprisingly, the best site turned out to be momondo.com.  I really haven’t herd much about it before, but doing a search for the same travel date and keeping flight duration in mind, it turns out they found the best ticket, and not just the best, but 20% cheaper than other sites.   So next time you’re in the market for a airline ticket I suggest you give this site a look over.  They also search Southwest.com which is lacking from Kayak and Bing.com.
